I have been a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for twenty years. I am experienced in every aspect of conceptualising, visualising, designing, planning, and producing print, multimedia, presentation and web projects from small fast turnaround jobs to planning and producing suites of brochures and corporate websites. I am happy working as part of a team or entirely solo and am used to briefing and managing other designers, printers, photographers, programmers and writers.
My particular skill is making sense of difficult projects where the product or service is obscure or hard to define.
My illustration work is widely varied and ranges from humorous illustrations and cartoons in my own very distinctive style to very detailed pastiche and on to 3d illustration and schematics for presentation.
In the last 10 years I have worked both in agencies and directly
for clients including:
The British Library, Xerox, AT&T, Epson, 3M, Anderson Consulting, Accenture, Hypergallery, Signals Limited, Engineering Turning Technologies, Racal Antennas, Mysis, Thales, Dryad Maritime Intelligence, Infineum, British Video Producers Awards, Liquid Friday, Boox
I have been using Mac systems since 1989 and I’m fluent in most industry standard illustration and design software.
I also use a variety of other smaller programmes such as Painter and Poser to further enhance my work
Traditional methods include line, watercolour, acrylic, linocut and wood engraving.
